Spider is my first CTF map and the winner of the CTF mapping contest. This map is large and complex (optimal for 6 vs 6 or more players) and it's main theme is... spiders! Starting from giantic spider webs and spider-like shaped layout and ending on caves where immense spiders have their hiding spots...


I would not be able to finish this map in time if it wasn't for the contest organizers who extended timeline and great community feedback that kept me motivated and focused on the task. It took me about 3 months of hard work (entire holidays) to finish the map.

Caves, concrete walls, opened areas as well as closed caves, colors as well as specific theme create not only enjoyable gameplay but also characteristic atmosphere which is unlike any other map in the Xonotic game.
